Takashi Natsume has an extraordinary ability – he can see ghosts living among us. Since he was a boy he has been living close to these fairy-tale creatures and hiding his gift from people. He is assisted by a bodyguard cat and a mysterious book of friends. At some moment Natsume believes that he has finally achieved harmony and peace, but a mysterious ghost appears in town and improbable things start happening.

TAKAHIRO ÔMORI

Born in 1965 in Tokyo. Japanese anime director known for his numerous anime series, character designer. Worked for the studios Deen, Studio Pierrot, Ashi Production, Gainax and others. “Natsume’s Book of Friends The Movie: Tied to the Temporal World” is his first feature.

HIDEKI ITO

Since 1991 works in animation as a director and designer, participated in a number of Japanese TV and animation series. Worked on the legendary “Death Note” series (2006-2007), which was later remade a number of times in Japan and in the West. “Natsume’s Book of Friends The Movie: Tied to the Temporal World” is his first feature.
