From May 30 to June 2 in Chita there was the Third Zabaikalsky International Film Festival. The theme of the film festival was union and creation. The contest program included the 8 best full-length films of Europe, Asia and Russia in 2011-2013 production, which became participants and winners of the world's leading film events. Members of the international jury of the Third ZIFF International Film Festival were: Irina Alfyorova, Honored Artist of Russia, Tom Palmen, Swedish producer and film critic, Chinese director Miaon Chan.

Vladimir Khotinenko, the Russian director, Honored Artist of the Russian Federation, became the chairman of the jury. In addition to the competitive films, the organizers of the 3rd ZKFF prepared several parallel out-of-competition programs that satisfy the most diverse interests of the audience. The program director of the film festival was the film critic, candidate of art criticism, film critic Maria Bezenkova.

The best film of the film festival is the picture of Russian cinematographers «Siberia. Monamur», director and script writer - Vyacheslav Ross. The jury decided to give the special prize "With hope and faith in the future" to the performer of the main role of this film, the youngest participant of the 3rd ZIFF Mikhail Protsko. In the nomination "Best Director", Oleg Pogodin was recognized as the winner for the film "House" (Russia), in the nomination "Best Screenplay" by Paul Laverty, for the script of the film "Share of Angels" (Great Britain - France - Italy - Belgium). The jury noted the work of the performers of the main roles of the film "Meteor" (Germany - France - Greece), Alexandra Teo and Tamil Kuliyeva-Karantinaki, who received awards for the best male and best female role "For deep inner drama and beauty of the world outlook".

The film "Dom" (Russia), directed by Oleg Pogodin, won the absolute majority of votes and the audience's prize.
