Camille Claudel is an outstanding sculptor and Auguste Rodin’s muse. Their long tragic love affair was talked about throughout France. After the tragic break-up the lady artist, who destroyed almost all her works, is locked-up in a psychiatric asylum in the South of France with the consent of her family. The action is set in 1915. Camille’s hopes of finding understanding and appreciation of her talent are finally shattered. The sole meaning of her existence is to wait for the arrival of her dearly loved brother, a well-known writer and poet Paul Claudel.
