From May 29 to June 2, 2014 in Chita, the Fourth Transbaikal International Film Festival was held, which became a loud event in the cultural life of the Trans-Baikal Region. This event  introduced the best films and popular filmmakers to the participants of the festival. For 5 days Chita has become the center of cinematic life .

Members of the international jury of the IV Moscow Film Festival were the Russian actress Anna Kamenkova and the South Korean producer Lee Juick. The chairman of the jury was the Russian director Alexander Kott. The best drama of IV ZMFF is the Russian drama "Dialogues" directed by Irina Volkova. The prize for the best male role was awarded to Maxim Sukhanov for a brilliant game in the film "Role". The winner in the category "Best Actress" was Juliette Binoche for her role in the film "Camille Claudel". South Koreans Hwang Kyaw Yong and Chang-ming Cho were awarded for the screenplay for the movie "Masquerade."

The best film in the youth contest "New Look" was the adventure film "Private Pioneer" directed by Alexander Karpilovsky. The same film received a prize of audience sympathy. A special prize was won by the film "Swim, fish, swim" in the nomination "Special mention of the jury" - for fidelity to the traditions of French cinema and the search for a new cinema language. The president of the jury "New Look" was actress Miroslava Karpovich. Members of the jury: director and screenwriter Bayar Bayardiev, actresses Anastasia and Alina Mikhailova, director and screenwriter Sergei Lagodin.
