Action takes place in tundra. Alyoshka, a young man of Nenets people, at the instance of his mother got married to a girl he didn’t love. But his heart is longing for his beloved. It has been 10 years since she left the camping-ground to settle on the Big Land. But every day Alyoshka listens out for the road, every day he awaits for his might-have-been love…

VLADIMIR TUMAEV
Born in 1953 in Sevastopol. Graduated from VGIK (1983, class of M.Khutsiev). In 1981 he made his debut short “Idiot” (with L.Tumaeva). His first full-length film “Moon Dogs” (1995, with L.Tumaeva) was premiered at the Berlin IFF. He teaches at VGIK and at the Higher Courses for Scriptwriters and Film Directors. Winner of national and international film festivals, TEFI and Nika awards. His filmography includes “Marlen” (2003, doc., with L.Tumaeva), “Demoted” (2009, TV), “Chinese Grandmother” (2010), “Snow is Falling...” (2012), etc.
