A musical comedy based on V.Shiskov’s “Divers”, as well as Russian legends, songs, fairy-tales and folk songs. Mischievous pranks, short scenes, aphorisms, unrhymed songs, jokes, humorous songs, funny verses – all this wealth of the “funny folklore” became the basis of the film which is kept together by three main characters: the oaf Neznam, the eccentric village inventor Bobyl and the good soldier.
