The action is set in Bosnia. Kosta, the protagonist, falls in love with a charming woman at first sight. She shares his affection and is ready to sacrifice everything for his happiness. A bloody war has been raging in the country for a long time and finally tears the lovers apart. Now each of them must overcome all the obstacles alone with no assistance from the other in very hard, often deadly situations. Will they be able to stand up to all the challenges, overcome the fears without losing their love and hope for a happy future together?..

EMIR KUSTURICA
Born in 1954 in Sarajevo, Yugoslavia. Director, scriptwriter, producer, actor, composer. Graduated in film directing at the prestigious Academy of Performing Arts (FAMU) in Prague in 1978. Won numerous awards at the Cannes IFF and other prominent film festivals, an Oscar nominee. A musician, a member of “The No Smoking Orchestra” group. Chevalier of the French Ordre des Arts et des Lettres.
