Lisa, a 33-year-old native of Omsk and TV presenter, has had a heavy day which leads her to a nervous breakdown. Having got drunk and ending up, at night, on the outskirts of Moscow, Lisa witnesses an attack on the micro-credit office and is taken hostage by the robber, the beautiful but not very bright Natasha, who wants to get out of the provincial bog. At first, under the threat of the pistol, Lisa is compelled to help the robber; but then Lisa begins to get through to Natasha: in the unbalanced woman Lisa recognises her own past self, before she moved to Moscow; she realises that during the ten years in the capital, she has lost her better qualities – boldness and belief in herself.

ROMAN VOLOBUEV
Born in Moscow in 1977. Director, scriptwriter, film critic. From 2004–12 he was an editor of the magazine “Afisha”. Participated in the writing of the film-guide “500 Films That Have Changed the World”. For his publications in “Afisha” and his film blog received awards of the Guild of Film Critics and Scholars of Russia “Elephant” in 2009. From 2007–08 he was the editor-in-chief of the Russian version of the film magazine “Empire”. He played small roles in the TV series “Brief Course of a Happy Life” (2011), “Worried, or Love of Evil” (2015), “Quest” (2015). In 2016 he directed his first feature “Cold Front”. “Blockbuster” is his second film.
