1985. The space station “Salyut-7” orbiting in the unmanned mode suddenly stops responding to signals from the Flight Centre. The crash of the station which is the pride of Soviet science and astronautics can severely affect the image of the country and lead to human casualties. To pinpoint the cause of the malfunction and prevent the catastrophe it is necessary to send cosmonauts to the station. But no one has ever docked with an uncontrollable object in space. Technically the mission to the space station “Salyut-7” is still considered the most difficult in the history of astronautics.
