Dmitry Astrakhan– chairman of the jury committee of the Eighth International Zabaikalsky Film Festival.

The Eighth International Zabaikalsky Film Festival announces the chairman of the jury committee for the main competition. It will be the Soviet and Russian director of theater and cinema, actor, Honored Artist of the Russian Federation, winner of the awards "Nika" and "Golden Eagle" Dmitry Astrakhan.

D. Astrakhan made 29 films, staged more than fifty performances around the world. The most iconic films of Dmitry Astrakhan are drama « Ty u menya odna», comedy «Vse budet khorosho », psychodrama « Kontrakt so smertyu », film « Perekrestok » with musical compositions of « Mashiny vremeni» which are blend seamlessly into the movie. His film « Iz ada v ad » is a laureate of « Kinotavr - 1997». At the age of 55, Dmitry Astrakhan made his film debut as an actor (“Vysotskiy,spasibo,chto zhivoy”).

As the chairman of the jury committee for the main competition, Dmitry Astrakhan, together with his colleagues, will have to watch and evaluate competitive films. After which, the winners among the following nominations will be announced

“Best Film”, “Best Actor”, “Best Actress”, “Best Direction”, “Best Screenplay”.
