Chin-Mao is in his eighties, and lives alone in a house in Pingxi, a town where only elder people remain. His wife has passed away, and both his children have their own families and careers in Taipei, where he could never get used to. After Chin-Mao refuses to move to Taipei, his son has to move back to Pingxi in order to take care of him. Chin-Mao is getting tired of living after seeing his old and unfit suit. However, an unexpected accident has happened, subsequently leading Chin-Mao moving into a nursing home. The only thing that could keep it off his mind, is his unmarried grandson. Even the good news of Kai-Kai getting married doesn’t do much to help Chin-Mao feel better. One day his daughter decides to take Chin-Mao to buy a new suit for the upcoming wedding. He agrees as wants to go back to Pingxi, and to prepare to walk the last mile.

Graduated from the Tainan National University of the Arts. He participated in the filming of “Kano”, “Starry Starry Night”, “Au Revoir Taipei” and “Seediq Bale” as assistant director. His first short “My Graduation Travel” (2012) won Golden Harvest Award for Outstanding Short Film and The Best Taiwan Film at the Taiwan International Children’s Film Festival. In 2017, Hung’s telemovie “My Dear Father” was selected for the Golden Horse Film Festival. He directed the famous TV drama “Wake Up 2” (2017) with director Aozaru Shiao. “Dad’s Suit” is his first feature film.
