SERGEY DVORTSEVOY

Director, scriptwriter, producer. Born in 1962 in Chimkent, USSR. In 1982 finished the aviation college in Krivoy Rog, in 1988 graduated from the Novosibirsk Electrotechnical Institute. In 1990 he began his studies at the Higher Courses for Scriptwriters and Film Directors (class of non-live-action directing of L.Gurevich and S.Zelikin). In the course of his studies he shot the shorts “Paradise” and “Bread Day”, which won several dozens of Grand Prix at international film festivals. Having finished the courses he directed the documentaries “Highway” (Nika Award), “In the Dark” and his first feature “Tulpan” which won the main prize in the Un Certain Regard section of the Cannes IFF and numerous awards at other festivals. “Ayka” is his second feature.
